LATE FOOTBALL.

WELLINGTON v. WAIRARAPA.

On Saturday next the Wellington and Wairarapa senior teams will meet on the • old showgrounds, and one, of the best games of a season which has contained many fine matches, is confidently expected. Wairarapa have so far not been beaten on their own ground, and such doughty opponents as Taranaki and Wanganui have had to lower their colours to the greens. Wairarapa have a great team of forwards, but then so have Wellington, and the Wellington backs are among the best in tho Dominion, so Wairarapa will have to look to their laurels. As the Wellington men are to return by the train leaving Masterton at 6 p.m., and they are to be entertained at dinner at the conclusion of he game, a start will be made at 2.30 sharp. Wellington have not yet. decided on a referee.
