ROTORUA MAORI ENTERTAINERS.

Referring to the Kotorua Maori Entertainers, who will appear in. the Town Hall this evening, a contemporary says :—" Uuder tho careful training of'teachers from Australia, they have for some time undergone a complete course of trainiug iv part-sing-ing aud stage deportment, aud now present a programme to the auciicuce which is replete Avith musical gems, aud a host of novelties never seen ou the New Zealaud stage. Apart from the wild hakas of the meu, the dainty pois of the attractive girls, aud the clever aud amusing plantation songs of the full Company, their part-sing-ing of uuaccompauied quartettes, male aud female, stamp the Company as beiug musicians of exceptional merit, and furnish a lessou which their fairer brothers aud sisters would do Avell to imitate."

The universal verdict of the Press of that city Avas that their -performance Avas the""most magnificent and unique entertainment ever presented to a Welliugtou audience." The Company, which is a particularly stroug oue, cousistiug of thirty members, gives a true picture of Maori life, representing the Maori at home, at play, aud at Avar, aud has wou abundant laurels by the highly artistic rendering of uuaccompauied quartettes, male aud female, and by the rollicking plantation melodies, suug aud acted by .the full choir.
