"THE NORTHERN REPROACH."

[to the editor.!

Sir, —At short intervals, covering a considerable period, letters have been appearing in your columns regarding the northern approach to this Borough. Presumably the majority of those letters emauate from Lansdowue residents, and after being read by a few apathetic people pass into oblivion. It is admitte 1 that the approach above referred to is badly in need of alteration. Who would be mostly benefited by such alteration? The residents of Lansdowne. It would greatly add to their convenience aud comfort, aud to the safety of their childreu. Then let them bestir themselves aud petition to be included in a "Greater Mastertou." Something might be done. The bridges would be better lighted, and probably the Lansdowue young ladies would see ghosts no more. —I am, etc., WELL-WISHER. l(sth Docember, 1907.

(The letters have beeu from resideuts both of Masterton and of Lansdowue. Ed., W.D.T.)
