Stock Sales.
Abraham; and Williams, Ltd., report as follows :—At Palmerston on Thursday we had a good entry of cattle and an average yarding of sheep. Bidding was brisk throughout the sale, and a good clearance was made. Fat ewes, 22s Id to 24s 4d; ewes and lambs, 21s 3d to 225; hoggets, 15s, 16s Bd, 18s ; store ewes, 16s ; short hoggets,. 13s 4d ; three and four year bullocks, £5 17s 6d ; fat heifers, £5 18s to £6 13s; yearlings, 24s to 28s; weaners, 20s to 225;, springing heifers, £3 16s; springing cows, £4 5s to £5 ss; store cows, 30s to £2.
Dalgety and Co. Ltd., Wellington, report having held their usual stock sale at Upper Hutt yards on the 19th inst. There was s good entry of cattle, but bidding was very slow, and most of the business was done after the sale. The following were prices realised :—Store cows, £2 17s 6d to £3 17s 6d; springing heifers, £3 to £4 2s 6d; 18-month steers, £2; old cows, £2 £2 ss. A nice line of three and four year old bullocks were passed in, not reaching
