The income for the year was nearly X 1.7 more than last year, and your Com miliars hopefully look forword to another nuccc.Hnful Show, when the debit balance will be wiped out. The Show held last July proved very successful and enjoyable. There were many exhibitors from districts outside of Masterton, and one and all expressed themselves as highly pleased with the conduct of the Show and the efficiency and courtesy of the officials. Your Committee hope to attract many more outside exhibitors to future exhibitions, and to place the Masterton Poultry Show in the very front rank. During the year your Committee, after some discussion, deemed that the time had come for poultry fanciers to run a Show of their own and allow the dog fanciers to form a Kennel Club. Accordingly the dog section has been struck out and.in future the Society will be known es the Wairarapa Poultry, Pigeon and Canary Association. You will be asked to sanction this needed alteration. Your Committee very much regret that our President (Mr R. R. Beetham) resigned his position on account of the distance he lives from Masterton preventing him from attending meetings. Your Committee hope that the time may come when Mr Beetham will again take his place amongst us. ,. The balance-sheet showed the total receipts to have been £133 10s, and the expenditure £137 IDs Id. In moving the adoption of the report and balance-sheet, Mr Hyde heartily congratulated the Society on its present healthy condition, and referred especially to the satisfactory balance-sheet. Mr Henderson endorsed Mr Hyde's remarks, and seconded the motion, which was carried unanimously. The election of officers was then proceeded with, and resulted as follows: —Patron, Mr P. L. I-lollings ; President, Mr J. A. Renall; Vice-presidents, Messrs W. H. Beetham, H. Walden, H. S. Izard, H. R. Wood, J. Ewart, Mead, James Elliott, J. B. Hull, R. F. 'Maunsell, E. M. D. Whatman, T. The auditor was voted a sum of £2 2s for past services, and it was decided that the fee in future be £1 Is per year.
