A sudden political crisis has arisen, due to the Democrats’ decision to launch a no-confidence motion owing to dissatisfaction with Herr Geissler, particularly his weakness in dealing with the Nationalists’ attempt to control the Reichswehr. Cabinet has decided to accept the Reichstag’s decision. The Social Democrats seek a re formation of the Cabinet on the basis of a big coalition, when they are sure to demand the Defence portfolio.
