The Waimate pupils at the Tiinaru' High School, have done credit to Waimate this year, according to the ' report of the presentation of prizes ■ held last evening. The following . Waimate students were mentioned: Form VI. —R. S. Meredith was awarded the Cecil Woods special speech prize, also first in physics, and chemistry. H. E. Evans was awarded the Hall Jones debating prize. L. A. Hayman was awarded first in French, history, geography. Form V.B. —F. L. Gunn was awarded first in history. Form IV.A. —C. T. Parry was awarded the Howell arithmetic prize for Juniors, also second in history, and best kept science note book.
