THE WOODS-WILLIAMSON DRAMATIC CO,
"IN OLD MADRID."
The Woods- Williamson Dramatic Company were greeted by another crowded audience at the Princess Theatre lace evening, when Miss Williamson's dramt* tisation of Marion Crawford's novel "In the Palace of the King," under the title "In Old Madrid," was presented. Th« Company were again most snecessf 01, th» anting throughout being of a very high standard, all the performers gaining unstii ted applause. Miss Williamson in the character of "Dona Doloies de Mendoza" gave a splendid representation, taking full advantage of the many opportunities which fie part afforded her. Mr Woods as ''Don John of Austria" fully sustained his high reputation, his ponrtrayal of the part being an artistic triumph. Mr Boothman gave a most faithful representation of the part of "General de Mendoza," and as "Phillip of Spain" Mr Harry Beaumont was also very successful. Miss May Carleon as "Princess Ana of Eboli" also acted very well. All the other characters were capably filled. The mounting and scenery was again a feature of the peformance.
