Two Brothers Are Drowned At Ohope In Front Of Mother

WHAKATANE, Last Night (TA).— Two brothers were drowned in the view of their mother when eight swimmers were in difficulties in a cross-current at Ohope Beach at midday today. They were George Ernest Hill, aged 24, and Michael Alfred Hill, aged 16, both of Murupara. They are sons of Mr. a'nd Mrs. A. Hill, of Taneatua. Mr. G. E. Hill rescued his sister from the current and took her to shallow water and then disappeared himself. An unsuccessful search for the bodies was made.
