AIRCRAFTMAN INJURED IN FALL FROM FIRE ESCAPE

WELLINGTON. Last Night (PA) Head injuries and a fractured spine were received by Keith Strange, aged 22, a leading aircraft man in the telecommunication unit at Ohakea RNZAF station, when he fell from a fire escape at the back of Army Headquarters building in Whitmore Street, Wellington, about 6 o’clock tonight. He was rushed by ambulance to the Wellington Hospital, where his condition was serious. His parents live at 32 Byron Street. Miramar.
