PRAISE FOR NEW SWIMMING POOL AT CHRISTCHURCH

CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night (PA)

—High praise for the New Centennial Olympic Pool which will be used for the Centennial games was given today by Miss Judy Joy Davies, who won the 110 yards backstroke title for Australia at the Empire Games in February.

Miss Davies said that the Newmarket Pool used for the Empire Games could not be compared with the Christchurch pool. The Centennial Olympic Pool was much better and faster. It also had better scum gutters, and the turn mats were excellent.
