YUGOSLAVIA ANNOYED WITH CONTINUAL
FRONTIER INCIDENTS
ZAGREB, Oct 30 (Recd. 6.30pm). Zagreb Radio last night reported that Marshal Tito warned the former Cominform partners Russia, Albania, Bulgaria, Rumania and Hungaria that Yugosalvia could not allow her frontier guards to go on being killed and injured. He said Yugoslavia would not replyin kind.
Marshal Tito said Yugoslavia will be forced to protest to the United Nations if border provocations are increased. He also said that a Moscowinspired invitation to Yugoslavia’s neighbours to attack his country had failed because the Cominform could not find enongh support within Yugoslavia. He added that American help to Yugoslavia through the food crisis would be in the form of wheat, fats, tinned and other foodstuffs. Credit negotiations were now in progress and should enable Yugoslavia to buy everything necessary to relieve her needs especially in those districts which suffered heavily from the drought. He said the aid would be without strings—Reuter.
