Decompression Chamber Treatment for Coughs.—A decompression chamber is now being used at the Park Hospital, Hither Green, London, to cure children suffering from whooping cough. The decompression chamber is similar to those used by the Royal Air Force to train pilots and air crews for flying at high altitudes. The chamber is being used by Dr. S. Banks, of the Park Hospital, Hither Green, and the children are treated in conditions similar to heights up to 18,000 feet. This picture shows Nurse M. E. Doyle, of Dublin, inside the decompression chamber with children who are awaiting treatment.
