LONDON. Dee 13 (Reed 6 pmVAfter carrying out exhaustive tests in the Orkney Islands. British Electrical and Allied Industries Research AsI sociation has recommended, in its first annual report, that a chain of windmills driving electrical generators should be set up round the coasts of Britain. The report states that .such a chain of wind-driven generators would enable Britain to save 4,000,000 tons or coal a year and would make it possible to transfer a considerable number of workers to manufacturing industries. —Special N.Z.P.A.
