FIJIANS SATISFIED WITH CONSTITUTION NOW IN OPERATION
SUVA, Dec. 12 (Recd. Bpm).—ln a protracted debate in which Government officials took no part, nonofficials in Fiji’s Legislative Council have emphatically rejected a series of proposals to modify the Colony’s constitution.
Most of the Fijian and European speakers maintained that the present system, in which the Government holds the balance, was the only feasible set-up to ensure justice for Fiji-: ans, Europeans and Indians alike.
