BRITISH SHIPPING AND FALL IN FREIGHT
LONDON, Nov. ‘J (Recd. 7.5 pm).—The shipping correspondent of the “Financial Times” says that the fall in freight business is persisting and that in almost every export market there is difficulty in finding employment for all tramp ships available. So far the majority of the tonnage laid up has been foreignowned. but British owners are also on occasion taking heavy punishment. Freight rates have now been cut to so fine a margin that it is very easy for owners to find themselves involved in losses. Special Correspondent N.Z.P.A.
