NEW YORK, Nov. 1 (Reed. 10.5 pm.)—The political sub-committoe which has been considering the future of the former Italian colonies voted to send a single resolution to lhe General Assembly political committee covering all three territories—Libya, Somaliland, and Eritrea. The sub-committee’s proposals are: Libya to be unified and independent on or before January 1, 1952. Italian Somaliland to be placed under Italian trusteeship until it has gained its independence in ten years. A United Nations Commission to visit. Eritrea, study the situation further, and report back to the 1950 General Assembly.
