U.S. Workers’ Body To Run Communists Out

NEW YORK, Oct. 31 (Recd. 6pm). —Mr. Phillip Murray, in a presidential address opening the National Convention of the Congress of Industrial Oragnisations at Cleveland, said all Communists would be run out of the C. 1.0. before this week was out. Mr. Murray, portions of whose speech were drowned out by cheers from delegates, added: “The Communist Party serves the Soviet Union and the Soviet Union alone.” He had learned, through long and bitter experience, that if Soviet Russia told Communist Party leaders in this country to direct their stooges/ in the Labour movement to “tell trade union movements to go to Hell, they will do it.’’
