Strikers And Police Clash In Italy
ROME, Nov. 1 (Recd. 7.15 p.m.) Several strikers and police were injured in a clash at a Brescia motor 'factory last night during an eighti hour country-wide general strike, I which ended at midnight. ! The strike was called by the Com-munist-led 5,000,000-strong Italian LaIbour Federation in protest against the killing of two peasants in a fight between police and sqjuatting land workiers at Melissa- and it brought, out all [the trade unionists belonging Io the federation except railway and other essential workers.
