CONFERENCE ON AGRICULTURE
N.Z. Delegation Named WELLINGTON. Last Night (PA).— New Zealand will be represented at the International Federation of Agricultural Producers Conference at Guelph, Canada, by a delegation from Federated Farmers of New Zealand, comprising Messrs, R. G. Buckleton and J. Andrew. The Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Cullen, announced that at the specific request of Federated Farmers, Mr. R. B. Tennent, Assistant DirectorGeneral of Agriculture, would accompany the delegation as official adx iser. “After the conference the delegates will visit certain localities in U.S.A, where climatic and soil conditions are simlar to those of the Domnion," stated the Minister. “The Government has agreed to Mr. Tennent accompanying the delegation with a view to promoting interest in New Zealand pasture seeds in U.S.A.” Whilst on this mission Mr. Tennent will arrange for official trials of New Zealand seeds by various research and extension organisations, and it is hoped that as the result of this mission the export market fo r New Zealand seeds will be widened.
