Marton Wedding

GORDON—CAMERON The Presbyterian Church, Marton, was the scene of a very pretty wedding of widespread interest when Isobel Grace, only daughter of Mr and Mrs Duncan Cameron. Heaton Park, Marton, was married to Graeme Edward, second son of Mr and Mrs E. B. Gordon, of “Braemore,” Marton. The bride wore a graceful trained gown of white embossed satin with bustle back and long sleeves, and the veil of uncut tulle was held in place with a halo of real flowers, matching the shower bouquet of mandevillias and gladioli. The matron-of-honour, Mrs Trevor Allen, of Bulls, wore apple green, Miss Doreen Kimpton powder blue, and Miss Joan Leicester primrose, and all wore red tulle headdresses and carried bouquets of red gladioli, velotia lilies and nerines. The best man was Mr Douglas Howard, and groomsmen Messrs Robert Grant and Stronach Gordon. Ushers at the church were Messrs Alec Cameron and Bruce Gordon.

A reception was held in the Loungb Tea Rooms. The bride’s mother wore a navy model frock with hat to tone, and carried a posy of scarlet nerines. Tire bridegroom’s mother wore a navy ensemble and carried a posy in cyclamen shades. The bride chose for her going-away outfit a dusky pink model frock, fawn coat and brown accessories. The young couple’s hom'e will be at “Braemore.” Marton.
