WELLINGTON. Last Night (P.A.) —A. Langford (Wellington) successfully defended his New Zealand 500 C.C. championship at the motor-cycle beach races at Waikanae on Saturday. He was the outstanding competitor at the meeting and he was unlucky to be put out of the North Island 500 C.C. chamoionship through machine trouble when he had a commanding lead.
