SIX POWER AGREEMENT FUTURE OF GERMANY
FRANCE TO MAKE IT TEST OF CONFIDENCE
Recd. 6.10 pm. London, June L The French Cabinet is meeting again today'to study certain aspects ot the Six-Power agreement on Germany.
At its meetings yesterday it approved the agreement and agreed to submit it to a vote of confidence in the National Assembly when the debate opens on Friday.
The prospects of the agreement being ratified were held to have improved last night, says Reuter’s Park correspondent, but it was also admitted that broad opposition, because of its lack of any specific military guarantee against Germany, might still bring on a Cabinet crisis. The general opinion was that the Government would “just about scrape through” with a bare majority, says the “Daily- Herald s” Paris correspondent.
