27 Pilots Trained By Wanganui Aero Club In Post-War Period

The Wanganui Aero Club has trained 27 pilots since the club resumed flying activities after the recent war. Seventeen post-war trainees have been successful in securing A licences and another seven have had their A licence endorsed for the carrying of passengers. Seven ex-members of the Royal Air Force and the Royal New Zealand AitForce, including a woman pilot from the Air Transport Auxiliary in England, have been granted B or commercial licences during the same period. At present the club has six soloists who are building up time for their A licences.
