The police examined wreaths 'and lormed a strong guard outside the Codsali, Staffordshire, parish church, where a memorial service was held to: Rex Farran, who was killed on Monday by a parcel bomb intended for Ills brother, Captain Roy Farran. Mr< and Mrs. Farran, Captain Roy Farran and other relatives and a tew close friends slipped out of the home under guard and attended the service. Special uniformed plainclothes police searched the church and churchyard and refused to allow unauthorised persons to enter.
