Wanganui Technical College Old Boy Is Premier’s Secretary

Mr. K. M. Slight, an old boy of the Wanganui Technical College, has been appointed private secretary to the Prime Minister (Mr. Fraser). Only 47 years of age, Mr. Slight has had 30 years' experience in the civil service.

When Mr. W. A. Veitch, formerly of Wanganui, was Minister of Railways in the Ward Cabinet, Mr. Slight was his secretary. For a long period Mr. Slight was secretary to the late Mr. D. G. Sullivan, member of Industries and Commerce. During the war he served as a sergeant in the Army.
