Loans For Nine New Houses Issued By Rehab. Committee

Nine housing loans of a total value of £11,625 were issued by the Wanganui Rehabilitation Committee during March, according to figures released yesterday by the chairman, Mr. J. B. Cotterill, M.P., for Wanganui. There was also a loan of £478 for business purposes and 24 furniture Joans totalling £2400.

Assistance in the release of rationed goods was givein to two persons, new vehicles to five persons, and 11 were assisted in securing tools of trade. Part-time educational facilities were .granted as follow: Accountancy. 1 new grant, five renewals: arts, 1 renewal: B. Com.. 1 renewal: music, 1 renewal: teacher’s B certificate. 1 new grant' trade education. 3 renewals. The total number of A class trade trainees at the Wanganui Trade Training Centre is now’ 105. c<t-.ipris-ing 12 nainting trainees and 93 carpentry trainees.
