RAILWAYMEN SEEK SHORTER HOURS.

(P.A.) Dunedin, Jan. 24. At a combined special meeting ot the Engine-drivers, Firemen and Cleaners Association today, the following resolution was carried unanimously: "That we work a 44 I,out, five-day week, and if required to work a further shift, the said shift not to be more than a maximum of four hours. Members of the Association have been working up ,o 60 hours a week during the busy season, and a limit to the amount of overtime worked is desired.
