PARCELS RECEIVED IN COVENTRY
SENT BY WAITOTARA TRIBAL COMMITTEE The following letter has been received by Mrs. A. J. Davies, chairwoman of the Ngarauru Tribal Executive Committee, Waitotara, from the Coventry Rotary Club. “Dear Mrs. Davies: With regard to the parcels, seven of these arrived two or three weeks ago, and were passed on to the chairman of the Coventry Rotary Club Community Service Committee in time for distribution before Christmas to needy cases In this city As a Rotarian, I would like to take this opportunity of expressing the very very sincere appreciation of the club for your thoughtfulness. I shall now keep a special look-out for the other six parcels which are apparently still on their way, and will see that you are informed immediately they come to hand. “I may add that these parcels give immense pleasure to the people selected to receive them, and I can assure you that your kind action has meant that, in each of the homes where one of your parcels has been delivered, there has been brought a a little extra happiness and pleasure this Christmas.—(signed) R. A. Blake, Coventry.” Mrs. Davies, chairwoman of the ladies' branch of the Ngarauru Tribal Executive, said yesterday that further parcels were to be sent by the committee. the money being raised by donation. The seven parcels and the further six parcels which are on their way were 'the first to be sent in this assistance to the people of Coventry, England. “The committee wishes to thank every one who has contributed to and supported the fund," Mrs. Davies said.
