Emergency Phone Calls For Doctors
To relieve doctors' wives of the strain of answering the telephone at all hours of the day and night, a new 24-hour telephone service for urgent sickness and emergency calls for doctors came into operation in Wanganui yesterday. If no answer is received from any medical practitioner listed in the telephone directory information may be obtained by ringing 3192, a new number not yet listed in the present directory.
