Broadcasting Of Empire Title Fight
The Murphy-Hawkins fight for the British Empire middleweight title will be broadcast by the 8.8. C. between 9 and 10 o’clock this morning in the general overseas service. As the reception is not likely to prove suitable, progress reports will be given by 2YA and a summary of the contest will be given at 12.30 p.m. At 6.45 p.m. the 8.8. C. will give an edited account of the match for 15 minutes in its Pacific service. This will be rebroadcast direct by the main national stations.
