Two Former Naval Tugs on Way to N.Z. Have Stormy Trip

Recd. 11.55 p.m. Sydney, Oct. 1. Two former naval tugs purchased by the Union Steam Ship Company, of New Zealand, Ltd., arrived at Sydney today after a stormy 39 days’ trip from Singapore. They are the Empire Shirley and Empire June.

The Empire Shirley towed the other tug to save fuel on the trip. They are manned by Malayans and Indians, with white officers.
