GONVILLE SCOUT TROOP HOLDS CONCERT

JAMBOREE FUND ASSISTED To aid the Jamboree fund, the Gonville Scout Group held a successful concert in the Gonville Town Hall last night. Arrangements for the concert were i-n the hands of the subcommittee, comprising Mesdames A. H. Lockett, A. D. Guthrie, and Messrs J. Dempsey and Lints. The programme, which proved most enjoyable, was as follows:—Cub item; solo. Mrs. J. Morrisson; dance duo, Misses Dawn Taylor and Rona Wilson; male quartet, Messrs. H. E. Tipper, J. S. Reed, J Frethey, G. Nicholls; violin solo. Mrs. R. Perkins; solo. Mrs. G. Perrett; lightning sketching. Messrs. C. Cornish and W. Steel; Scout item. “Ten Little Nigger Boys”; solo. Mrs. H. Bellringer; euphonium solo, Master M. R. Thomas; homour, Mrs. Alan ( Brown; solo, Mr. C. Haar. A play entitled “Veiled Menace," by Ella Adkins, was presented by the Y.W.C.A. Little Theatre, with Miss I- M. Rayner as producer. Those taking part were Mrs. D. Oates, Misses C. Donaldson. J. Overand, A. Gleeson, B. Lints, C. Jeffs, F. Frankish.
