THOUSANDS OF BAGS OF POTATOES TO BE DUMPED IN SYDNEY
Sydney, Oct. 29. Watersiders are working double shifts on inter-State vessels with priority freights, but there will be a potato famine in Sydney for at least three weeks. The port is badly congested and the labour shortage is hampering operations. The recent hold-up means that thousands of bags of potatoes will have to be dumped.
