OVERSEAS INTEREST IN OUR ATTRACTIONS

“Increased interest in this countryin the United States of America undoubtedly has been engendered by returned service personnel who had had contact with New Zealand,” said Mr. W. E. Parry, Minister of Internal Affairs, to-day, referring to a request just received by the Department of Tourist and Health Resorts from a San Francisco newspaper for an article with a “tourist emphasis.” Mr. Parry said a number of requests had been received recently for material and photographs for publication abroad dealing with New' Zealand’s natural attractions, sport, and the life and work of the people of the Dominion.
