CHARGE OF NEGLIGENT DRIVING OF SERVICE CAR DISMISSED

Hawera, Sept. 4.

Agreeing with counsel’s submission that there was no evidence in the police case to prove negligence, Mr. J. H. Salmon, S.M., dismissed a charge of negligent driving preferred in tho Hawera Magistrate's Court this morn ■ ing against John Hugh Dark, of Wanganui.

The charge arose out of a collision on the Main South Road, about two miles south of Hawera on July 29, between a service car driven by Dark and a bicycle ridden by Paul Austin Elder, fencer, Makomako. Dark pleaded not guilty and was represented by Mr. M. J. Burns.
