POST-WAR BOAT RACE

LIGHTEST OXFORD CREW Recd. 7.30 p.m. London, March 7. Great interest is being taken in the first post-war Oxford-Cambridge boat race to be held on March 30. At one time it was announced the race would not take place because of the difficulty of securing rations for the crews, but that idea was abandoned. Oxford will be represented by the lightest crew for 40 years—nothing to do with lack of rations. The average weight is considerably below 12st. For the first time both crews will dine together on Boat Race night at the United University Club.
