CITY MILK QUESTION
FURTHER PROPOSALS TO EE DISCUSSED SOON
An indication that in the near future Mr. H. 11. Innes, director of the Milk Marketing Division, would visit Wanganui for a special meeting of the City Council, when the milk question would again be discussed, was given by the Mayor. Hon. W. J. Rogers, at the council’s monthly meeting last night. The Mayor added that Mr. Innes was anxious to visit Wanganui as soon as possible and had certain proposals which he would put to the council.
A suggestion made by the Mayor that in the meantime consideration of resolutions carried recently by the Wanganui Electors’ Association be held over was approved. The association asked that the treating house provide dairies with sufficient raw milk for those customers who wanted it, also that consumers should receive milk In accordance with the choice stated on order cards distributed by vendors some time ago, and that all bottle tops be branded with the date on which the milk was received by the treating house.
