MISS MOORE'S TRIBUTE TO CAST OF “OUR MISS GIBBS”

After last night’s presentation of the musical comedy “Our Miss Gibbs," the producer, Miss Eva Moore, who leaves for Wellington to-day, received a great ovation from the largest house of the season so far. and received two bouquets, one from the society and the other from the honoraiy musical director. Mrs. C. I. Spillane. The president of the Wanganui Amateur Musical and Dramatic Society, Dr. G. J. Adams, who made the presentation, referred to the hard work and good results obtained bl Miss Moore. He was very pleased to be able to announce that she would come back again to produce for the society next year. (Applause.) “This is the best behaved and most likeanle cast I have ever been associated with in musical comedy," said Miss Moore, paying tribute to-those with whom site had worked and to the way they had responded. She said that it was difficult tor people nowadays to even know what musical comedy is like, let alono attempt to take part in it. Many of the cast had never been on the stage in their lives before, many of them had never seen musical comedy. The way they had responded was a credit to them and to Wanganui.
