The death has occurred of Mr. Frank Leonard Bone, aged 76 years, of Hastings. He had been associated with the hardware business lor over half a century. He was born ir Surrey, England, and came to New’ Zealand when a baby. He was an authority on manufacture of violins. Mr. Bone specialised in breeding pedigree Jersey cattle up till about 10 years ago, when he d sposed of the stud. He leaves a family of two sons and two daughters. His wife died about three years ago.
Miss K. L. Glenn, deputy librarian, has resigned from the Wanganui Public Library to take up the position ol librarian, i’urangi Public Library, Gisborne. Her resignation, which is to take effect early in August, was received with regret by the Wanganui City Council at its meeting last night. Miss Gienn has been attached to the library staff in Wanganui for 16 years. Warm tributes to her efficiency and popularity with subscribers were paid by the Mayor, Hon. W. J. Rogers, and the chairman of the Library Committee, Cr. T. N. Dickson.
