GEN. HURLEY IN CHUNGKING
Recd. 6 p.m. Chungking, Nov. 15. President Roosevelt’s personal representative, Brigadier-General Patrick J. Hurley, has arrived from New Delhi and presented Marshal Chiang . Kai-shek with a letter from President Roosevelt. The United Press says the purpose of the mission is kept strictly secret, but it is believed to be intended to smooth out the problem of co-ordinating the Chinese.
