Mr. J. S. Jack, of Dunedin, who has been an executive oiricer with the Westport Coal Company, Ltd., tor many years, has been appointed assistant general manager o£ the company. Mr. G. T. Williams, who has been sub-manager of the Timaru branch oi Pyne, Gould, Guinness, Ltd., for a number of years, has received advice of his transicr to the Christchurch branch on promotion. Mr. Williams will leave Timaru at the end of February. Mr. G. J. Stokes, manager of the Tourist Department at invercargill, has been transferred to Christchurch and will leave io take up his new duties this week. Mr. G. C. Dryden, of the Christchurch office, who was formerly stationed in Invercargill and who has served with the 2nd. New Zealand Expeditionary Force, will succeed Mr. Stokes.
