FATAL INJURIES AT MARTON

YOUTHS ON BICYCLE RUN INTO TAXI (0.C.) Marton, Jan. 3. When two brothers, James Francis Hoare (aged 9 years) and Clifford Hoare were pillion riding on a bicycle down an incline in Russell Street into Wellington Road on Friday afternoon they failed to negotiate a corner and ran into a taxi. James received severe head injuries and was removed to St. Catherine’s Hospital, where he died on Saturday nignt without regaining consciousness. The younger brother, Clifford, broke a collar-bone, but he is reported to be making satisfactory progress. Mr. and Mrs. M. F. Hoare, of f'.arton, are the parents. An inquest, for the purpose of identification, was held before the coroner, Mr. J. S. Tingey, of Feilding, this morning and adjourned sine die.
