VICHY ATTEMPTS TO WOO FRENCH-AMERICANS

Washington. May 20. Vichy has launched a short-wave propaganda campaign designed to woo French-Americans away from their allegiance to the United States. Vichy radio suggested the development of a French bloc in the United States adhering to ancient traditions rather than to American policies, pointing out that several million French-Cana-dians remain proudly faithful to their traditions.
