RAIDS ON AERODROME AT KOEPANG (Recd. 11.15 p.m.) Melbourne, May 21 Allied air force planes on Tuesday attacked the aerodrome and installations at Koepang, Dutch Timor. Two Japanese aircraft were destroyed on the ground and buildings were set on tire. The enemy seaplane base at Dilli, Portuguese Timor, was also attacked. No details are given. These operations were reported in to-day’s communique from General Headquarters, South-west Pacific area. The communique also reports that 12 enemy fighters made a strafing attack on Port Moresby aerodrome. They were intercepted by our fighters. which damaged four of the raiders.
