AIR FORCE RECRUITS
FOR IMMEDIATE SERVICE TRAINEES OVER 181 YEARS AU Air Force recruits are to be called up for immediate service, according to advice received from Air Training Corps Headquarters, stated Flying-Officer E. B. Tustin, adju taut of No. 9 Squadron. This ruling affects those trainees of town units of the A.T.C. who have already reached the age of 18i years. Cadets who have reached this agp arc required to apply for enrolment in the R.N.Z.’A.F., or. if they are not ready to proceed with their applications .'or Air Force service they will be mobilised for service in the Army. This applies only during 1942. after which the exemption will no apply to any cadet after he has reached the age of 18 years. Those who are already members of a town unit will, however, continue their training until they reach the age of 184 years. A definite instruction has been given that youths who have already reached the age of 18 years are not f o be enrolled in the A.T.C. in future.
