TROOPS ON ROUTE MARCH

OVERNIGHT STOP AT RAETIHI. (0.C.) Raetihi, March 12. While on a 50-mile route march am' exercises recently, units from a military camp stopped overnight at Raetihi. In spite of their long trek the men looked particularly fit and well. They camped on Ihe Recreation Ground, the main body arriving early in the afternoon. Certain personnel were granted leave, and a sports meeting was arranged. In the evening the men organised a dance in the Druids’ Hall and rfeted as hosts to Raetihi residents. The M.C. was Padre Sullivan, and a military orchestra provided first-class music.
