"BUCK PRIVATES” Concluding to-day at the Regent Theatre, "Buck Privates.” one of the funniest comedies seen in Wanganui for a long time, is the first picture to depict tne humorous side of the American Army camp life. Foremost of the recruits arc Lou Costello and Budd Abbot. Also in the cast are Lee Bowman as a handsome man with a superiority complex, Alan Curtis as his ex-chauffeur, and Nat Pendleton as a sergeant. “The Ghost of St. Michael’s.” Commencing to-morrow at the Regent Theatre, “The Ghost of St. Michael's” is a British production which features Will Hay, Claude Hulbert and Charles Hawtrey. It deals with the happenings when St. Michael’s School is evacuated to Dunbain Castle on the isle of Skye, where the gloomy caretaker of the castle relates that’the ghost of Mad MacKinnon haunts the place, a ghost that i lays | lantom pipe.- when anyone in the castle is going to die. Two murders actually happen, and in tracking down the secret of the tragedy there is drama and humour
