hawera high school CONCERT (Own Correspondent.) PATEA, July 30. At the request of the Patea social committee, a concert was given last evening in the Patea Town Hall by rhe Hawera High School pupils. The concert proved a great success, and the hall was crowded almost to its full capacity. Ail the concert arrange ments were in the capable hands of Mr. F. Mairs. During tne evening the Mayor of Patea, ivir, E. F, Henungway, expressed, on behalf of the people ol Halva, gratitude to Mr. Dasn, the headmaster, and to the pupils of the Hawera Technical Hign School, for thenpatriotic action in putting on so splendid an entertainment on behalf of’ the local soldiers’ comforts fund.
