RUSSIAN BOAST
STATE OF THE NAVY STRONGER THAN GERMAN AND JAPANESE TOGETHER. Received July 30, 5.5 p.m. STOCKHOLM, July 29. Rear-Admiral Stainis, commander of the Russian fleet in Latvian waters, stated that the Soviet navy is now stronger than the German and Japanese navies combined. He expected that it would be the world’s strongest or among the strongest by 1943.
